The Second Amendment Sanctuary movement continued to gain steam in Michigan in the past week, with Allegan, Charlevoix and Livingston counties all passing resolutions to declare they will not enforce any unconstitutional firearms laws. Allegan County’s resolution sought to codify board support for the Sheriff and prosecuting attorney in exercising their “sound discretion to not enforce against any citizen an unconstitutional firearm law.” Protection of Second Amendment rights also advanced at the state level this week.
