The day Eisenhower and Khruschev agreed on Christmas

World War II altered the social and political structure of the world forever. Before the ink had dried on the Paris Peace Treaty, a group of despots emerged from the ashes of war to terrorize Europe. From 1945 through the 60s, there was a gutting of local institutions, inner tactical maneuvering and political executions that terrorized Eastern European nations for over four decades of hell on earth.
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was a cartel of 15 nations that formed Russia’s Communist Orwellian empire. Run by Moscow, it crushed human rights, individualism, freedom and liberty. Fearing the power of religion, worship was tolerated but all churches were controlled by the government. The celebration of religious holidays was replaced with public tributes to Communism.
Church services not approved by the Communist Party were condemned. Although Christmas remained sacred in the hearts of all faiths, it was celebrated secretly in the shadows of baron living quarters. Even wishing a member of the Communist Party Merry Christmas could get you arrested or worse.
From 1928 until 1953, Joseph Stalin, leader of the Soviet Union, forced atheism on the republic. He shuttered churches and synagogues and murdered and imprisoned thousands of theologians in his effort to eliminate God from Russia.

Since Communist Manifesto dogma marks religion its greatest enemy, Stalin closed all churches the last week of December and ordered people to celebrate December 21st, “The Celebration of Stalin’s birthday.” Christians and Jews caught worshiping in their homes were beaten and jailed.
Jews were the subject of Soviet desecration, and feared celebrating Hanukkah. So Jews would go to Christian homes at Christmas and light their menorahs to praise God with their Christian friends.
This marriage of ceremonial worship was an act of faith that proved stronger than Stalin’s Gestapo.
To both Christians and Jews, the menorah’s flame burned for religious liberation for men to worship freely. They exchanged beggarly gifts and treasures like fruit, soap, toilet tissue, candy and even a fresh carp and small slices of meat. Communist rule couldn’t dismantle theology, it strengthened it.

To obtain basic foods and household items, people would stand in lines for hours especially during Christmas. The average wait was four hours to obtain the mere essentials to prepare their Christmas dinner. It was not uncommon to wait over five hours in sub-zero weather to get one holiday carp.
At Christmas when they heard ships from other nations arriving with bananas, oranges, almonds and fruits, they waited at docs for hours to unload them. Their reward was a few kilograms of fruit.

During the USSR’s most intolerant years, Christians never lost hope that someday they’d be able to celebrate the birth of Christ. Families received packages from the UN Relief Fund, donated by U.S. churches. Over 10 million tons of U.S. food rations, and holy cards, helped to keep their faith alive.
Radio Free Europe, funded by the U.S., would turn up their transmitters and play Christmas carols all day.
They would retell the children trapped behind the iron curtain the story of Mary and Joseph following the shining star to Bethlehem and how Mary gave birth to the world’s Savior in a manger.
Eisenhower said, “Religion is the foundation for democracy.” He dedicated his first White House prayer service to those in the Eastern Bloc transmitted by Radio Free Europe.
When Stalin passed away and Nikita Khrushchev became leader of Russia, he denounced Stalin’s purges.
Khrushchev told party elites, “It is time for less repression in the Soviet Union. It’s time to improve the lives of ordinary citizens and end foreign isolationism.”
Obviously God was listening that day.
Khrushchev’s first order of business was to meet with Dwight Eisenhower and normalize relations with the U.S. He told Eisenhower, “It is time for peaceful coexistence.” Although this only thawed the Cold War, Khrushchev’s reforms opened doors that Stalin had locked for Russians for years.

Although the Communist Party didn’t approve of Khrushchev’s reforms, the Russian people were grateful for regaining liberties lost under Stalin. In 1964, this saved Khrushchev from execution and he was exiled instead. He made Christmas a reality instead of a breach of security in Russia. And churches resumed Christmas services, in a world that had cloistered the mere existence of God.
As life began to normalize, basic necessities such as underwear, socks, flannel shirts, candy and even ball point pens were sought-after Christmas gifts. As Western products began to appear in retail stores, each Christmas was better than the last. For the first time in decades, people had Christmas trees and lights. And they praised America for helping to bring Christmas back to them.
Above all, Christmas introduced Russians to the benefits of capitalism. Although many were poor with little money for gifts, when they had the chance to buy, sell or trade on open markets, every Christmas was like a festival. Even if they only had a few rubles to spend, a small gift was very big.
Although it took another three decades to end Communism in Russia, it was Nikita Khrushchev’s visit with President Eisenhower that normalized relations between the USSR and the U.S. This allowed the Russian people to begin celebrating Christmas in the USSR for the first time in four decades.
In 1989, when Ronald Reagan and Pope Saint John Paul II convinced Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall, the world witnessed the end of Communism’s reign in the Eastern Bloc.

But Russia’s attempts for democratic rule abruptly ended shortly after it started when Vladimir Putin assumed control of Russia.

His dictatorial thirst for power, and wars with neighboring nations proved that he wants to regain control of the Eastern bloc and democracy in Eastern Europe is in jeopardy again.
This Christmas, let us pray that our efforts to end the reign of terror that gripped Eastern Europe for decades were not in vain as we light our Christmas trees and our menorahs. Delivering peace to Eastern Europe will be difficult, but the power of prayer is mightier than any arsenal of weapons of destruction.

Biden Trades ‘Merchant of Death’ to Free Brittney Griner

In remarks before 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, President Joe Biden announced that his administration had negotiated a prisoner swap to free WNBA player Brittney Griner from a Russian penal colony in exchange for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout who is also known as the “Merchant of Death.”
Bout was roughly 11 years into a 25 year U.S. prison sentence for his actions that included a conspiracy to kill Americans, provide material support to terrorists, and traffic anti-aircraft missiles. But now he’s free in the one-for-one prisoner exchange between the U.S. and Russia that apparently secured the safe return of Griner who was arrested, charged, and convicted in Russia for drug smuggling and possession after she brought vape cartridges containing cannabis oil into the country. Griner was given the maximum 9-year sentence by a Russian court.
Emphasizing that it was a “good morning,” President Biden described the “intolerable circumstances” Griner was being held under in Russia. Saying the “last few months have been hell” for the WNBA player, Biden said Griner represents “the best about America.”
Notably, the Biden administration’s prisoner swap did not include the release of former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan, who was arrested in Russia in 2018 and charged with espionage before receiving a 16-year sentence in 2020. Apparently the Biden administration decided freeing the “Merchant of Death” was worthwhile to free a WNBA player, but not a U.S. veteran — a fact that some, including Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL), pointed out as the news broke.
In his remarks Thursday morning, Biden did at least mention Whelan, saying he had not been forgotten and claiming the swap to bring Griner home was not a choice of who to bring home in exchange for the release of the “Merchant of Death.” Biden claimed that Russia is treating Whelan’s case differently and pledged that he would “not give up” on bringing Whelan home and that his administration would “keep negotiating in good faith” for his release.
Still, the trade for Griner is lopsided at best. Is the Biden administration just looking for a public relations win they think they can get for bringing home someone with name recognition? Whatever their reasoning, the Biden administration’s victory lap on Thursday leaves a former U.S. service member behind in a Russian gulag.
When a reporter shouted questions about Whelan and his family, Biden only said that he “was talking” to Whelan’s family and ignored a question asking when his release would be secured so he too could come home.

The DOJ and FBI only arrest pro-life advocates

The city of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, is in the buckle of the Bible Belt about a half hour from Nashville’s famed Music City Row. Home to many country music stars, as well as former country legends such as Johnny Cash and Charlie Daniels, this town of 40,000 is recognized for its gourmet restaurants, fashionable boutiques and trend-setting novelty shops in Providence Market Place. With a church on every corner, the town does not wake up on Sunday until church services are over after noon.
According to a Pew Research survey on the most religious states in America, 81% of all adults in Tennessee are devout Christians who identify with one specific church. Another 14% admit being Christians but are unaffiliated with any specific religion. About 3% are of a non-Christian faith. Only 2% are nontheological. Over two thirds of all people in Tennessee attend church services regularly.
For over a year, residents of this jewel of the Bible Belt have conducted a peaceful sidewalk vigil outside the Carafem abortion clinic, praying and handing out anti-abortion material. They’ve been showing disdain for a facility they did not want in their Christian community. This abortion clinic was forced upon them by a federal judge after the city passed emergency legislation to keep it out.
When Carafem filed for a business license in 2019 and the city learned this was an abortion clinic, amidst outrage from residents, the city counsel rezoned the area to prevent them from performing abortions. With the help of ACLU attorney Andrew Beck, Carafem won the legal battle to remain there.

In March of 2021, a pro-life group visited the Carafem abortion clinic in Mt. Juliet. The group came there to reach out to women seeking abortions to try and persuade them to choose life for the unborn. This group lined the walkways outside the abortion clinic praying for the unborn. Several protesters were arrested for misdemeanor trespassing by Mt. Juliet police, scolded, then released.
Although this took place over a year ago, due to the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, and outrage by abortion supporters, Biden is sending the FBI and DOJ after pro-life protesters. A U.S. District Court ruling last week claimed that this group violated the FACE Act and has issued warrants for their arrest.
Eleven warrants have been issued for these peaceful protesters. The DOJ alleges that Chester Gallagher utilized social media to promote a series of anti-abortion events in the Nashville area. They contend Gallagher organized the Carafem event and protesters used intimidation and force to block Carafem’s entry, which prevented one patient and one employee from entering the clinic.
Seven of the defendants who participated in this peaceful protest face conspiracy charges under the FACE Act, with a maximum penalty of 11 years in prison and fines of up to $350,000. The four defendants, charged with misdemeanors, could face up to one year in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Passed in 1994, the FACE Act allows the arrest, fining and jailing of anyone who intimidates or tries to interfere with a person obtaining or providing reproductive healthcare services.

Randall Terry, founder of the pro-life organization Operation Rescue, told reporters, “In the past pro-life protesters who blocked entrances to abortion clinics only faced local trespassing charges instead of federal charges. But this has completely changed since Roe vs. Wade was overturned.”
Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, said, “Biden’s abuse of the DOJ shows Democrats will do anything to protect an industry that spends millions to elect them. Biden’s DOJ is demonizing pro-life advocates and turning a blind eye to violence against them.”

Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, pregnancy centers have been firebombed and pro life organizers have been beaten, attacked, shot and even killed. And the pro-life advocates’ calls for equal protection have been ignored by Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, the FBI and the DOJ.

Less than a month ago, the DOJ announced it had arrested pro-life activist Mark Houck at his home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Houck’s indictment accused him of assaulting a man who was “a volunteer abortion clinic escort” outside of the Planned Parenthood clinic in Philadelphia.
Houck’s attorney explained that he was peacefully praying outside the Philadelphia clinic when the escort began to harass his son. Mark and his son walked down the street to avoid confrontation but the escort went after them. When the escort got in the face of Mark’s son, he just pushed him away.
Now Houck faces a possible $350,000 fine and 11 years is prison for a violation of the FACE act.
This is from the DOJ website: “The FACE Act is not about abortions. The law protects all patients, providers, and facilities that provide reproductive health services. This includes pro-life pregnancy counseling services and any other pregnancy support facility providing reproductive health care.”
If this is the letter of the law, why are the FBI, the DOJ, Kamala Harris and even Joe Biden ignoring the bombing, acts of violence, and the harassing of pregnancy support centers? Why are they only prosecuting pro-life protesters under the FACE Act while most are peacefully protesting?
According to the U.S. Finance Commission, Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Population Connection Center for Reproductive Rights, Washington Women for Choice, New York Choice PAC, and the Boulder Abortion Clinic gave Democrats $5,042,623 last election. The total given to Republicans was $0. This explains the Democrats double standard with the FACE Act.
Aristotle told us, “No man is above or below the law.” With growing violence towards reproductive health centers, in 1994 Congress enacted the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, (FACE) which prohibits violent or threatening conduct against those obtaining reproductive health services. This is not only for abortion clinics but pregnancy centers too. Yet the left only protects abortion supporters!
This is politics at its very worst. Biden and his administration are openly enforcing the FACE Act against pro-life protesters while they watch pregnancy centers burn to the ground and their patients assaulted by abortion advocates. To the left, Lady Justice is no longer blind. With the midterms underway, voters must elect candidates that will guarantee all Americans have access to equal justice.

Wife of pro-life activist Mark Houck speaks out after FBI arrest
The wife of the Catholic pro-life activist who was arrested in front of their children by dozens of heavily armed federal agents told Fox News on Wednesday that the “devastating” raid has left their family traumatized and in need of counseling.
Mark Houck, an outspoken pro-life activist and author from Pennsylvania, was arrested in front of his wife and seven children at his rural Kintnersville home in Bucks County after dozens of FBI agents showed up on his lawn and began pounding on their front door. In an exclusive interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Houck’s wife, Ryan-Marie, recounted the moment she looked out her front window to find roughly 25 uniformed agents with guns and shields surrounding her front door.
“My entire front yard, you could barely see it, it was covered with at least 15 big trucks and cars,” the mother of seven said. “There were 20, 25, 30, men, women, completely in jackets with shields and helmets and guns. They were behind cars. It was something I would never expect to see on my front lawn.”
Ryan-Marie said the agents raided their home with “guns drawn,” on her family, describing in an earlier interview how they put her husband in “shackles” while her children watched in fear.
“It was devastating,” she told host Tucker Carlson. “As you can imagine, it’s hard to even express the victimization and how traumatized we all are due to this unnecessary thing that happened to us.”
Ryan-Marie said her children have been “crying” and are afraid to sleep alone since her husband’s arrest.
“The older ones, we can talk, we can cry. We’ve had some counseling, we have more counseling to do,” she told Tucker Carlson. “And the little ones, they’re scared. There’s a lot of crying and a lot of unrestful sleep. A lot of kids in our bed at night and in the morning.”
The raid and subsequent arrest reportedly stemmed from an altercation Houck, 48, had with a Planned Parenthood escort in Philadelphia in October 2021, when he was accused of pushing a 72-year-old man outside the clinic after the escort allegedly verbally harassed Houck’s 12-year-old son. The pro-life father, who routinely engages in prayerful protests outside abortion clinics, is co-founder and president of The King’s Men, a Catholic ministry that aims to spiritually mentor young men.
The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that officers responded to the Planned Parenthood on the afternoon of October 13 last year, but that no charges were filed against Houck, and he was not arrested. The Philadelphia district attorney also declined to prosecute Houck over the incident.
But for reasons unknown, Houck’s case caught the attention of the Justice Department. In May, he received a “target letter” from the DOJ telling him he was being investigated by a grand jury for violating the Freedom of Access Clinic Entrances Act, or FACE Act, which makes it a federal crime to use force with the intent to injure, intimidate and interfere with anyone because that person provides reproductive health care.
Houck’s attorney and senior counsel at the Thomas More Society, Peter Breen, condemned the arrest as an abuse of power from President Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) during the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” interview, where he accused the department of trying to intimidate pro-life Americans.
“This was not a federal crime. We have controlling case law on that, strong defenses, but instead, they’ve taken an innocent man and made an example out of him, presumably to send a message to pro-life people and people of faith across this country,” he said.
After the Philadelphia district attorney declined to prosecute Houck over the incident, Breen said the man involved brought a private criminal complaint against Houck. However, that man never showed up to his own court hearings that he initiated. Houck’s lawyer said they have considered taking legal action for abuse of process.
“This was reckless and outrageous,” Breen told Carlson. “It put the Houck family in unnecessary danger. We’ve offered to bring him in. Didn’t get a response. Even if you’re going to arrest a regular person, you just send a couple of agents, they knock on the door, not dragging the head of the family out, violating the sanctity of the home, pointing guns at them. This was outrageous and uncalled for.”
Breen said Thomas More Society has retained some of the best legal talent in Philadelphia to assist in the case.
“If we can push back against the Justice Department here, we can get them to stop and not do this to someone else,” he said.
Houck pleaded not guilty to two counts associated with the charges against him related to the alleged assault of the escort.

Abortion And Transgenderism Have Gnostic Roots

U.S. has a replacement fertility rate problem

THE LEFT’S ABORTION STAND WILL PRODUCE FEWER NEW PROGRESSIVES
“When women are in charge of their own bodies, they have enjoyable sex lives without the fear of unwanted pregnancies. We just have to accept the fact that birth rates will fall.” – Vanessa Nakate
During the 1950s, the Twilight Zone’s Rod Serling did a radio commercial for Planned Parenthood. He stoically said, “At the current birth rate of 4 million births a year, America will not be able to care for many of these unwanted babies. Shame on us for bringing babies into a world that has no room for them. And shame on those who fail to do something about it – when they can. Support Planned Parenthood and have babies only when you want them and only when you can afford them.”
In 1981, Congress passed President Ronald Reagan’s Adolescent Family Life Act. Government invested in programs to prevent teenage pregnancy through “abstinence.” Parents taught their children about sex when they felt they were ready to learn about it. High school students only took one health-ed class that taught reproduction, hygiene, fertilization, family planning and respect for their bodies.
Since the unholy marriage of teacher unions with the federal government, public schools around America have become factories to clone new progressives. From outlawing prayer in classrooms, to making the pledge of allegiance optional, to teaching students about safe sex; and if they have an “accident” they can have an abortion – the public education system has totally failed America.
The adoption of common core, the dictates of federalism and teacher unions, made moral and character education an after-thought. Obsessive talk about social justice, racism, fairness over achievement, and social and economic reparations have replaced vital curriculum that students will need long after graduation. They no longer teach students how to be responsible U.S. citizens.
According to a Guttmacher Institute study, nine out ten teachers surveyed believe students should be taught about contraception and abortion in middle school or sooner no matter what their school district policy is. The vast majority also believe that sex education courses should cover where to go for birth control and abortion, how and when to use a condom, and diverse sexual activities.
Although “abstinence” is still taught in public school sex-ed classes, in the last decade teachers have been focusing on safe sex, birth control, proper use of condoms, abortion, and on sexually transmitted diseases. The average amount of teaching time spent on abstinence is down to 15%.

Teachers point to the decline in abortions the past decade as proof teaching sex education at a younger age cuts down on abortions since teens know how to use contraceptives. Yet they neglect to mention contraceptives and abortion cut down the birthrate too low for generation replacement.
When the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, it was a gift from their progressive god. When voters were about to give Congress back to the GOP, the Democrats turned the midterms from a referendum on Biden and the Democrats’ failures, “into voting for abortion and against the GOP.”
Results from a recent Pew research poll on abortion shows 80% of Democrats say abortion should be legal on demand. This is compared to 38% of Republicans that believe abortion should be legal in most cases with some exceptions. Some 40% of independents favored abortion in most cases.
The U.S. birthrate has been declining since the end of the baby booming 1950s. It accelerated in the 1970s and leveled off due to easy access to abortion and contraceptives. Since 2007, it has been declining and is dangerously low. The fertility rate now sits at 1.61 children per woman in the U.S., the lowest rate in history. And this is well below the necessary replacement fertility rate of 2.1.

The replacement fertility rate is what a country must maintain to keep population numbers stable. When the fertility rate falls below replacement level, the population grows older and shrinks, which puts more strain on governments. Today’s babies are tomorrow’s workers, taxpayers and “voters.”
The Democrats depend on idiopathic eccentrics that will need to be replenished. Making abortion the party’s call to arms is “Kevorkian” since Democrats abort twice as many babies as women in the GOP.

A number of recent headlines have attributed our historically low birth rates to an aging population, under reported abortions, contraceptives, and the cost of raising children. Regardless of why the U.S. fertility rate is so low, Democrats are promising young fertile women easier access to abortion.
Anything that lowers the fertility rate will also lower the number of Democratic voters. A new CDC report projects the U.S. fertility rate will continue to decline. Yet Democrats want to repeal the Hyde Amendment to pay for abortions for those on Medicaid who mostly all vote Democrat.

Barack Obama told us, “I won, you lost, numbers don’t lie.” After Roe, 15.7 million children were conceived due to liberal abortion laws, but were never born. That is not only a lot of lives; that is a lot of votes for any political party. In the not so distant future when the last Democrats are standing in line on Election Day, it would be interesting to ask them if he or she is pro life or pro abortion.
According to the CDC, the fertility rate has consistently been below replacement since 2007 and it is expected to continue to decline without incentives for women to have more babies; not less. If Democrats keep the House and increase their numbers in the Senate they will pass legislation that makes abortion on demand as common as going to the dentist yearly to get your teeth cleaned.
At a time America and the rest of the world is facing a fertility crisis, Democrats made abortion at all stages of pregnancy the heartbeat of their campaign. This proves they only care about winning at any cost today with no regard for future Americans. Anything that lowers our fertility rate is bad for America.

The Democrats have gone too far left to turn back. America has a serious replacement fertility rate problem and instead of incentivizing women to have more babies, the Democrats are promising them more abortions. It is a sad day for America when the Democratic Party can only base its campaigns on unrestricted abortions.

Why the Left Cannot Successfully Reproduce Over the Generations

Any ideology that cannot successfully reproduce over the course of several generations is doomed to fail. Put another way, any ideology that must rely on indoctrination more than (biological) reproduction cannot succeed in the long term. What does this imply for the future of leftwing secularism?
My thesis here is simple.
On average, religious people have more children than non-religious people, and since religious people tend to lean right and non-religious people tend to lean left, there will be a long-term decline in the left-leaning base. Thus, according to, “The Future of Secularism: a Biologically Informed Theory Supplemented with Cross-Cultural Evidence,” published in the journal of Evolutionary Psychological Science in 2017, “Overall, religious people out-reproduce secularists. Consequently, the proportion of secularists in most if not all countries will decline noticeably.”
More specifically, the report suggested that “Atheism may be doomed because adherents use contraception more, while religious people tend to have higher rates of reproduction, a new study suggests.” Not surprisingly, as noted by Prof. Ryan P. Burge, “In 2018, 77.3% [of American atheist voters] identified as Democrats, 11.7% were independents, and 10.9% were Republicans.”
Whatever the reason may be, atheists have fewer children, on average, than religious believers, and atheists lean left in their ideologies and voting patterns. In fact, already in 2014, Kurt Schlichter wrote, “Democrats are waging war on the faithful and are even comfortable booing God on national TV. Give it three more presidential election cycles and the Democrat Party’s platform will be expressly antireligious.”
Just two years later, Michelle Boorstein penned an article for the Washington Post titled, “Meet the ‘Nones,’ the Democratic Party’s biggest faith constituency.” (The “nones” refers to people who identify with no formal religious affiliation.)
So, the Democratic Party’s biggest “faith” constituency is actually the group that claims no specific religious faith. But of course!
And I would expect that, over time, the “nones” will have fewer kids, on average, than people of deep religious faith.
Even more obviously, it is self-evident that abortion supporters will have fewer children, on average, than pro-lifers. The former also lean left; the latter lean right. Are you seeing a pattern here?
It’s the same with homosexual couples. They might be deeply devoted to each other. They might love each other as much as heterosexual couples do. They might love children, too. But since they cannot reproduce through sexual intimacy, it is much more difficult for them to become parents, having to rely on adoption or some artificial means of reproduction, also requiring the involvement of outside parties.
In stark contrast, children are the natural product of the most intimate act of love between two human beings, provided they are heterosexual. So, love directly begets children in marriage as created by God. But same-sex “marriages” violate God’s order and therefore, no matter how loving, cannot reproduce biologically by love.
And which way do LGBTQ+ voters lean? According to a 2020 UCLA study, “Nearly nine million LGBT adults are registered and eligible to vote in the 2020 general election. Half of registered LGBT voters (50%) are Democrats, 15% are Republicans, 22% are Independents, and 13% said they identify with another party or did not know with which party they most identify.”
Consider also this very interesting situation in Europe, where birth rates continue to decline at perilous rates.
As argued on the Gatestone Institute website in 2017 by Giuolo Meotti, “As Europe’s leaders have no children, they seem to have no reason to worry about the future of their continent.” Or, to quote Douglas Murray, “Europe today has little desire to reproduce itself, fight for itself or even take its own side in an argument.”
To quote Meotti at length, “There have never been so many childless politicians leading Europe as today. They are modern, open-minded, and multicultural and they know that ‘everything finishes with them. In the short term, being childless is a relief since it means no spending for families, no sacrifices, and that no one complains about the future consequences. As in a research report financed by the European Union: ‘No kids, no problem!’.
“Being a mother or a father, however, means that you have a very real stake in the future of the country you lead. Europe’s most important leaders leave no children behind.
“Europe’s most important leaders are all childless: German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and the French presidential hopeful Emmanuel Macron. The list continues with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, and Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.”
Seeking to rebut this, the EU vs Disinfo website rejected the idea that, “THE EUROPEAN LEADERS DON’T HAVE CHILDREN BECAUSE THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT WORLD’S FUTURE.”
But that is to turn things upside down. Rather, the argument is that leaders without children will not be thinking about future generations in the same way that leaders with children will. This makes perfect sense.
And it takes an overtly anti-religious mindset, like that of Communist China, to devise the one-child per family policy ostensibly out of concern for future generations. Talk about an incredibly misguided calculation.
Yet there is a bright side to all this. Not only are people of faith reproducing, but many countries are waking up to the weakness of leftist ideologies, most recently in Italy, where the election of Giorgia Meloni has stirred up a firestorm of leftist criticism.
As noted by Ed Morrissey on HotAir, “Voters in yet another EU nation turned away from the leftward tilt of Brussels and more toward self-determination. Italy has elected its first right-wing coalition government in decades, and will almost certainly have its first female prime minister. Giorgia Meloni led her Brothers of Italy into a dominant role in the coalition, as both CNN and Reuters describe this as ‘the most right-wing government since World War II’ . . .”
As for Meloni, she proudly identifies as an Italian. And as a Christian. And as a woman. And as a mother. (Take a minute to watch this amazing clip in Italian, with English captions.)
As for the religious left, that too continues to decline, most notably in America.
All this makes perfect sense.
